Sodium Alginate


Description: Derived from brown seaweed. Used as a common food stabilizer, emulsifier in a variety of foods such as cheese, cream, yogurt, juices, canned products, jam and dairy products.  It is also a hydration agent for noodles, bread, frozen products. Overall it is a cold gelling agent. GRAS(generally recognized as safe) by the FDA.
